The uncontacted Shompen people could be wiped out

Why? The Indian government wants to build a mega-port and city on Great Nicobar Island - which is where the Shompen, one of the most isolated peoples of the world, live.

Because of this plan, the Shompen people are facing potential gen*****.

If the Indian government is ok to respect the Sentinelese’s wishes to remain uncontacted, then they should be ok to do the same for the Shompen.
