"This project gives us strength in our fight"
In this video, Jonara Guarani, of the Guarani Kaiowá Indigenous people, speaks about Survival’s Indigenous Voices project—a unique platform for amplifying the voices of Indigenous peoples around the world. As part of the project, Indigenous people from more than 20 countries have already recorded over 230 videos in more than 80 languages.
The videos reach millions of people online. They are shown at protests and festivals and projected onto famous landmarks. They are screened in museums, galleries, and universities. They are shown at gatherings of Indigenous peoples, allowing them to hear about and learn from experiences in other territories, countries, and continents. They are presented to government officials and corporate CEOs.
They are a vital tool in the global campaigns Survival conducts alongside Indigenous peoples worldwide for their right to live on their lands in the way they choose.

#IndigenousVoices is a project by Survival International, the global movement for tribal peoples. More than one hundred and fifty million people in over sixty countries live in tribal societies.
From the Amazon to the Kalahari, from the jungles of India to the Congo rainforest, Tribal Voice gives them a platform. They experience appalling racism and genocidal violence. Their lands and resources are stolen for profit. Their ways of life are being deliberately and systematically destroyed.
Here they speak out about what matters to them; watch, listen, and get involved: https://svlint.org/IV
