� BREAKING: Influencer arrested for trying to contact the Sentinelese �

A US national has been arrested after trying to contact the uncontacted Sentinelese people. He put both his life and the lives of all the Sentinelese at risk. Uncontacted peoples have no immunity to common diseases, and even a brief encounter with them could have decimated them.

Survival’s director Caroline Pearce said: “It beggars belief that someone could be that reckless and idiotic. It’s good news that the man in this latest incident has been arrested, but deeply disturbing that he was reportedly able to get onto the island in the first place.”

Indian authorities have a legal responsibility to prevent such dangerous incidents. The Sentinelese, like all uncontacted peoples around the world, have made it clear: they do not want contact. Their survival depends on it.
