Swine flu hits Yanomami in Brazilian Amazon

Two Yanomami men have contracted the swine flu virus, and it is suspected that a ten year old boy from the same community has also been infected.

Seven Yanomami Indians in Venezuela have died from an outbreak of suspected swine flu in the last two weeks. Another 1,000 Yanomami are reported to have caught the virulent strain of flu.
